A friendly reminder of speed limits

All it takes is one wrong turn when speeding is involved, so to raise awareness on the dangers as well as regulatory measures of road speeds, a Speed Limit Map was created to allow for referencing, find the mapHere.

In an effort to raise awareness as well as improve on road safety, GasanMamo Insurance, Project Aegle Foundation and Prof. Adrian Muscat produced a collection of major Maltese road networks as well as correlating speed limits in the area.

This research also brought to light that just over half of our roads had speed limit signs, with some being irregularly placed. This is relevant as speed limits are not suggested speeds within the area, but a limit to the speed that one should drive within an area for their own safety and the safety of others.

You can find the full researchHere, where you can view the results as well as the Map.
Share this with your friends to inform them of the dangers of speeding, and leave a comment on what roads you think should have their speeds safely reconsidered!
