Malta's first 'Carbon Neutral' Garden

This project will be underway in Kalkara's Gnien ir-Rinella where€1 Million founding for the project will transform the former military cemetery into a neutral and sustainable garden for the public to enjoy. The timeline is set to be completed by early 2022, and will be beaming with technological advancements such as solar paving, solar smart bins, smart benches and self-sufficient irrigation system powered by renewable energy! 

These applications of technology will help to maintain the park, such as the smart bins alerting once full would benefit a park greatly by discouraging littering and minimizing overflowing trash cans.
