Msida Skatepark gets some maintenance

skatepark.jpgThe Msida skatepark is a nationally recognized roundabout which houses ramps for skaters and underpasses for pedestrians and skaters alike. It's tunnels pave under the busy upper-Msida junction by routing pedestrian passageways underground to allow those travelers without a car to safely pass through the area, such as connecting students to University from around Msida who opt to walk or cycle to school.

Most recently, and currently ongoing are some restoration works on this skatepark, where those who make use of the skatepark are urged to keep a safe distance away from the maintenance and roadworks due to bulldozing being done in the area. This work is promising a sustainable green zone to replace the previously standing trees and shades for the skaters to enjoy a better and modernized public space. Although a time frame for the work hasn't been disclosed, the works have started and will allow alternative and joy riders to make better use of the area.
